WOYWW 177

Back to felt again this week - no I have not made my cupcake pincushions yet - I was asked about a keyring like the dog pincushion from a couple of weeks ago, so I made three! Then I was trying out a rhinestone setter kit to use in school, so I made a lilac corsage/brooch with rhinestones in the centre.  I intend to bring all this stuff with me tomorrow, so that the girls in my creative craft class can choose what they want to make - the sidekick is nice and easy to carry, so I will just bring the smaller heart and flower dies which will fit through it.  For quite a long time now I have been thinking about updating my big old red original sizzix machine as a lot of the newer dies don't really work in it, but I couldn't decide whether to go for a Cuttlebug or a Bigshot - well after spotting the new Bigkick Vintaj on Minxys desk last week, I decided it would be perfect - right down to matching up with the colourscheme in my craftroom (and half the rest of the house!!)  So DH thought it would be a very handy Christmas present from him if I ordered it - just waiting now for it to be delivered!  Hopefully it will be here before next weeks WOYWW.

  1. your little felt projects are so adorable! I never thought to cut out that little doggy in felt! I have that die, got it when I first got my red sizzix too! I was going to say, don't go cuttlebug, I got that first but still needed to go up to the Big Kick which I got last xmas and now never touch my bug, I use the Big Kick all the time!

  6. Wow, I'm thinking you really love PINK! Just adore those cute little animal felt thingies and is that a hot glue gun? It looks like it is and I'm now lusting after one too - great that it has it's own stand like a heat gun.

  15. Hi Bernice! Those are so cute, I wish I could reach through my computer screen and grab them. Might I ask you how to make them or where to find instructions? I would love to make something like that with my boys.

I bought the spellbinder grand calibur this year so that I can use the spellbinder dies in addition to big sizzix etc. It's good. But you know how that is, there is always something else coming out. I saw a friend with the Tim Holtz die machine that you don't have to crank but it's rather expensive. Too many options I tell ya.

    Have a blessed week.

  20. I've got a hand cranked Big Shot and I love it! But I wish it was in Vintaj colours - mine's black and pink, which would probably go with your lovely pink tools, but I'm a bluesy girl!! I still love it though... Have a great week with all your lovely felt creations.

  22. Wow what gorgeous felt creations. I am really curious to know what that curling iron tool is. Today is the first I have heard about the New Big Sot Vintaj. I have to get one. I love the pretty colors and I think it would look great on my desk. The funny thing is that I almost bought a Cuttle Bug thing-a-ma-jig the other day but, it was solely for embossing. I was so glad that I figured it out at the store, lol.
